Counselling Perspectives, Barnet, North London
Are you going through a sudden crisis?Or have you been feeling for some time that things aren't really right?
Do you want to explore these thoughts and feelings in therapy, and feel heard and understood by a counsellor?
Do you want to get back on an even keel again?
Or to get rid of a dragging sense of misery?
My name is Hazel Stein and I have been practising as a counsellor in Barnet, north London for the past twenty years. My practice and website is named Counselling Perspectives because I feel one of the best ways that counselling can help is to give clients a sense of perspective.
I work with both individuals and couples for open-ended counselling or for an agreed therapy time period, with the aim of enabling you to improve problem areas and live life more fruitfully. The way I work as a counsellor is firstly to understand where clients are coming from, how your life story has impacted on where and how you are today, to make connections for you and to give deeper meaning to your story. During the counselling sessions, I may use helpsheets for a specific need, such as gaining assertiveness skills.
I am experienced in therapy with clients who have difficulties with :
- Workplace Stress - victims of harassment and bullying
Gaining and using assertiveness skills
Marital and couples relationships
Panic Attacks
Anxiety
Bereavement and loss
Career change and redundancy
Depression
My counselling and therapy practice is in Finchley, (borough of Barnet),North London, within easy reach of the A41, A1 and North Circular Rd, Finchley Central Northern line tube station and bus routes.
As a counsellor, I adhere to the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy Ethical Framework - see my Links page to visit their site - and am a Senior Accredited Counsellor with the BACP. I am fully insured and am totally committed to the well-being of clients.
